Hmm gonna ponder on my name choice tonight but I was thinking (on the "p" theme before Elvis was named) of Prancer but does it "prance" Lynda?!!! - it does have reindeerish sort of colouring dont you think? actually it doesn't do much yet except squeak a lot lol, though if you put your hand over the top of it, it curls up into a ball, it's very cute
i don't care as long as it's not called pigeon lol

OK way to tell girls from boys REALLY soon
In a few days (3 or 4 as far as I can remember) they start growing actual feathers on wings, and SOME of them grow the beginnings of tail feathers. Those are the girls. The boys take several days longer to get signs of tails. By 2 weeks (often sooner) all difference has vanished, until they start showing OTHER signs as they become teenchicks....Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.Comment

Only just had time to check in on this again, things got v hectic earlier (DD's carol service tonight) - Lynda, they are gorgeous, you must be so pleased and proud, well done! It's made me have all sorts of ideas about smuggling a cockerel into the eglu, one of the girls might just go broody.
Hope you get a decent nights sleep, and give all those fluffy bundles kisses from Aunty P.

went to bed about 11 was tired, got woken up at 4.50 to tweeting, and there was a twin of number 3 staring at me ..... then got woke up at 9.10 to more tweeting and there is a little blonde one, think it was born a couple of hours ago, cos it's dry, will get some piccies in a bit when i'm awake
i'm not really sure i want to know too early that they gonna become dinner
think i might just not take any notice and enjoy em till they start crowing lol ....... so anyone who wants to sneakily shove a cockerel in with their chooks ....... i may have just what you're looking for lol ..... how can i possibly kill and eat em ...... all sounded so easy when they were eggs ....... anyway lets worry about that later, cos they are gorgeoussss

WhooooooHooooo I get to name one! Well, since I'm into "Flower" names for all my chooks, I think this little blonde will just HAVE to be BUTTERCUP. It doesn't matter then whether it's a boy or a girl does it I'm chuffed to bits, I really am (can you tell?) Is that 6 now?

and yup that's 6 now ..... there are no signs from the others yet, but i'll give em a couple more days ...... but after all the disappointments ...... 6 is perfect ..... (i'd have been happy with 1 lol
