Hi Dozey, they look lovely
Are yours getting fluffy yet? Mine were rescued on the same day as yours and are covered in down, with tiny little embryonic feathers forming on their necks.
Also the pecking order is firmly established - chooks, hubby, me.
HOW many eggs????
All's right with the world!

You won't recognise them in a few months when they get their new feathers. It IS disgraceful, Two Sheds - and sadly, anyone who buys eggs from caged hens contributes to this.
Well done on giving them an honourable retirement. And 21 eggs! They are certainly repaying your kindness!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
