  • making a mash

    ivejust given sugar and spice there 1st mash and they turned their noses up and didnt touch it. . i ground up some layers pellets added some sweetcorn boiled some water and mixed it all up, placed it in a plastic container and they didnt want to know. they just went back to their glugs.

    what else should i add to it

    i have some poultry spice but ive not used it yet

    Try adding warmed cooked potato peelings or mashed potato, or a few grapes, squashed tomato, anything that they go potty for. They might still be getting used to all this "new stuff" and it might take a while before they're really interested. Don't worry too much, if they're hungry, they'll eat

      porridge...with sweetcorn, raisins, poultry spice...and any other goodies you have lying about. Mine go MAD for it - I'm convinced they'd eat me if I slathered myself with it!!

      Mine don't particularly like mashed potato, or their pellets soaked. Spoiled brats!!!
