Less Eggs

but honey did sit on my lap and eat some sesame seeds, i think she deserved them!
even though she still won't lay me an egg oh well
i got to find out where they all sleep when i forgot to shut the pophole and went out at half six.

i don't think they really get the hole perch concept

After all the bang crash wallops of the fireworks last night, I think it put my girls off laying. Only 1 tiny egg today - trying to convince myself that it's got a "plum blush" and might be from one of the Bluebelles, but I don't really think they're quite ready to lay yet - no crouching down when I go near them, still very tiny wattles and combs.

You've got a point there! I had seven eggs yesterday and today (the day after bonfire night) I had three!

Yeah ours have been on strike for a few weeks, We have 8 chickens and are only getting four eggs a day. I think a few are moulting. Either that or they really are on strike.

As Ive only got 3 hens at the moment Im only getting 2 eggs a day but 2 out of 3 aint bad just wish Beryl would hurry up and start laying,
Usually the eggs are in the nest box but the last 2 days they have been right next to the pop hole and Beryl tries to roll them out and its a battle to get her to leave them alone
