I reckon if you break them up they'll be as good as 'oystershell'.

Thats what they make Glucosamine from as well methinks?

My sister lives in France and I noticed when I visited, her French neighbours give both oyster and mussel shells to their chickens. They don't even bother to break them up, (although I would.)

Can you feed eggshells back to chickens? It's all calcium.

Yes you can feed eggshells back to chickens. I put all my shells in a container and put it in the oven when I'm cooking anything (to sterilise them) then I use an old coffee grinder to grind them up before adding to porridgy mash. You don't HAVE to grind them fine, but as I've got an egg-eater in my lot, I didn't want the shell to be too obvious

Should I bake them first or just wash off the creamy/garlic sauce ???

Baking should make them easier to crush, and you DEFINITELY need to wash off the sauce, because you don't want pre-garlicked eggs. You might want to bake cakes with a few of them....

I would have licked all the creamy garlic sauce off anyway. Yum.
