Ha ha ha!.... tempting them to learn to fly are you?

Mine used to roam free before we had a dog 'attack' and we set up electric fencing.
Out of all of them only one was tempted back out on her own...but she was a bit of a nutter anyway -Betty.
We used to find her roaming around in the front garden miles away from the run
Never enough to want to clip her wings though.

I bet yours felt they were rolling in luxury...what an amazing difference compared to a few weeks ago!

How is everyone’s egg production?

We are down to one egg a day if we are lucky.

My best layer is molting really badly so it’s not surprising she’s stopped poor thing!

I only have two hens now . and one of them is 8 years old , still get a few egg off her . the other one is a younger new this year .so still getting one a day ..

One a day from four hens.
One is moulting and another has just finished moulting and is looking all nice and fresh again.
The rooster is just finishing moulting too.
