we also have it - I think it's the casing from the new feathers coming through... just looks like flaky dandruff. Yummy.

we also have newspaper on the base of the coop - roll it up and lob the whole lot onto the compost heap.

Yeah twink, that is what I would expect. When new feathers grow, they have a 'sheath' that breaks down once the feather is well on the way. Flaky looking stuff.....
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

Re the scaly leg, I was told to use surgical spirit first before the vaseline or benzyl benzoate which is less harsh. However it was only after I asked for it in the chemist (loudly) that I was told it is also used for human scabies....
Was it my imagination or did the other people in the queue shrink away???

I tried newspaper in the house too - BIG MISTAKE!!! They scraped every single bit up and wripped it to shreds!!!! It looked like a bomb site. Not a good idea for me!
I love to talk about nothing. It's the only thing I know anything about!!

He he. I think you've got hooligans there. I used newspapers all summer for mine to sleep on. Using shavings as well now 'cos I thought it would be warmer for the winter.
