fun and games this morning!!

hi all

visualise this. me late for work, final check on girls in their fenced off area before i leave and only one in there. big carmen is free ranging in the garden after jumping the fence. miranda is all drama queen making noises because carmen as flown the nest!! carmen knows i want to put her back so the chase begins, under bench, under hedge, round the bird table, oh joys of joy, me slipping around in my work shoes, carmen having a ball, 2 grapes later carmen back in pen. i look like i have been dragged thru hedge backwards (almost correct!!). joys of chicken keeping!!!

Sounds like you should have got someone to get the events on vidio and send to you'v been framed!

And that's not a usual thing? There's a different one every day that jumps over the fence when I go out with their dishes of mash, then she'll squawk like a banshee to get back in cos the others have got treats

We were having brekkie one morning a few weeks after getting the chooks, 4 yr old looks out of the window and says, 'Look mummy Daphne is running up the garden'
Yup, she had got out by getting a steam up and making her way onto the compost bin!
They have 6 feet high fencing now and touch wood none have escaped!
