I went to the Dingwall sale on Saturday and came back with 2 Shetland hens and a trio of Barnvelder bantams, I was quite restrained I thought
Since then I had to cull my Scots Dumpy cockerel Wally who has never been well and was getting decked by the other (smaller) cockerel. He's had a decent burial under my crab apple tree.
So 1794 + 5 -1 = 1798

Edited to add - I got the most beautiful pale blue egg yesterday! A decent size for a bantam (nearer to a medium hen egg). Yay!!Last edited by Birdie Wife; 15-03-2010, 02:28 PM.
