107 at the moment - yes we are quite low on numbers but its the time of year lots have been rehomed - but that number is subject to change as we have 2 broodies sat tight on dozen each and an incubator full.
Then there are four "rescues" coming later today from a lady who can no longer look after them. we don;t have that big a resuce section as we don't have the acerage so we don't deal in exbatts etc but we get a few unwanted domestic chickens.
Plus we will lose some as they are rehomed/sold. so exact figures vary daily but we usually hover arround the 100 mark, don't think we ever really drop below that.Comment

whispered * but I've got 4 ducks we rescued and I'm probably gonna put 3 runners with them as they have a run that's huge and wasted on what just what would be 3 ducks when Donald goes, that equals 44 and I know I'd like some Cream Legbars but I'm holding off for the moment until I find someone who has POLs close by..... BUT if Chocolate Brownie logs on and sees this she will then start nagging (kids
) and then....... I'll crack.....

.......pssssssssssssssssssst! (in a whisper...) have you tried Thornes for the Cream Legbars? I think Pure Breeds are £35? They have Cream Legbars in their field as well as Aracuanas.......I'm tempted - but need to add external nestbox to house before I could consider expanding. 107!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW CAN YOU HAVE ONE-HUNDRED AND SEVEN..... mummy you know I love you and everything can we get 3 more unners like you said up there and 107-38=.................. not to good at maths............................69s the one more chickens. And also everyone back there when one of ours dyed it wasn't jennifer it was actually honey... my muched loved and much missed chicken ( it was one of mine) so just to let you no jennifer is alive and well and happy
