My friend had 12 hens she went to lock them up as usual,to keep them safe from foxes. What she didn't know was a cunning fox had sneaked in first and hid, it even waited till she had gone to bed before attacking killing them all. Keep an eye out foxes are clever.

Great fun so far and long may it continue!

Minus Spotty, the last of my ex-batts. Looked a bit peeky this morning with tail down. Just lay down in the run and died before I had time to book a vet appt. Still, she was about 6 and has visited the vet about 4 times in the last couple of years and surprised me by coming home each time.

2533 - 1 = 2531.
Audrey the white splash modern game girlie died peacefully this afternoon. She was taken from the jaws of a cat yesterday and returned by a neighbour. She was one of my first hens, a great fierce mother, a chatty girl and layer of teeny white eggs (all over the place). She will be missed.
