we have 2218 and counting... Sad to hear of peoples losses but reassuring to share, we had our gladys savaged by a mink last week and I still miss our beryl n Thora who died of old age earlier in the year..
Wonder if we should count our eggs next time??!!
My last original Battie, Ginger, from the November 2008 rescue. She was a stroppy wotsit and hated to be cuddled, but was very very pretty, and knew it! She appeared a little off colour yesterday evening, and didn't want any corn, which was unusual for her. RIP Ginge.
2218 - 1 = 2217

I've re-homed 2 of Jerry's sons with a friend in Bletchley. I did tell him that they're big enough now for the table, but he's insisting that he wants them as garden pets (Wonder how long that'll last!! It's Id next week I think)
My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there
I didn't add my 5 marans chicks as I wouldn't be keeping them - but I kept one and the others have gone to their new home with another grape - so that's 2216 plus 5= 2221
