Oh dear. I do feel for you Munch (and everyone really). I lost a little lemon cuckoo wyandotte chick. It was always small but yesterday was hunched and seemed cold as well, despite having a full crop. It died under the broody in the night. Boo.

Hi All, as the numbers seem to be going down I thought I'd add my lot. 23 in total ( that's 22 and 1 cock), making grand total of 2446. All are ex deep litter and now have plenty of grass to roam in.
Hi all, there are so many sad news here lately! Sorry for all your losses, I hate to lose chicks, it seems so unfair! Not that I like to see the old ones go, but at least I know they had a good life here...
On a more cheerful note, I thought it was time for me to register and say hello. I'm a complete newbie to this forum but it seems a very friendly place. Please let me add my feathered members of staff...
9 Sicilian hens
1 white Marans hen
2 Greenlayers
20 bantam Crower hens
7 bantam Crower cockerels
1 Appenzeller Spitzhaube (hen)
1 Appenzeller mix girl (her daughter)
1 old bantam Sulmtaler boy and
1 old bantam Sulmtaler girl (his sister)
2445 plus 43 = 2488
They all send you kind ba-gawks and wish happy scratching!
2490 minus 2 silver pencilled and one gorgeous red laced blue Wyandotte bantams, gone to join their sisters in their new home = 2487.
Now I have some room and can seriously look for some miniature brown (partridge?) silkies. If anyone hear of any in the northwest, or around Bournemouth, do let me know........

Reason: Can't count.
Bournemouth? I find it really hard to get any sort of chicken around here and when you do find some it's 3 times the price of up north! (Wot you doing down my way anyway?)
