Tufty, probably to be known as Jemima. One her own, sunning herself.
Two of the new batties, one with feathers, one with a half complement of feathers.
Frank, who is big and brave, and thinks the batties are very dangerous.
No: 4 - the absent battie, still in the nest box, too scared to even come near the door.Ali

Freedom is pretty scary atm G4. Poor tufty spent a lot of time in her box, facing away from the doorway, and some time standing in the doorway eating what grass she could reach without stepping out! Two of the others took turns sitting on a rock in the corner, facing a sheet of tin.
I guess sometimes, life is more than you can cope with.
Tufty was still ripping feathers out when stressed (her own.) So should be a while before she has a full complement.
Hoping they all start to be friends soon. Would love to see them all pottering around the chook forest together.Ali

2634 - Delilah got eaten last night, don't know how she was out when we went to lock up. But a fox must have taken her. Either just before we went down or later. She didn't get much of a life poor bird.Ali
