    • Sorry guys minus one, I was wandering the yard yesterday afternoon telling the laydees how healthy they all looked turned my back a minute on some, turned back around and Issy had dropped dead, absolutely shocked I was. Must have been a heart attack one of first batch of ex batts so... 1909

Will try to take pics of chicks today as we've removed the other eggs and Cookie is bringing them out of the box a bit more.

      • -1 takes us down to 1908. Sorry.

Like Hayley, another of my ex-Batts. One of the originals from November 2008, so she had 18 months of freedom.

Incidentally, I still have 4 of the original 8 from that lot, which were my first. I also still have 3 of the original 8 White ones from December 2008 too! Most of them still lay 2 or 3 eggs a week too, so it's not all doom and gloom.

                      • Hello ObC, and welcome to the madhouse. Though, by the sounds of it you already have a madhouse of your own! Sorry, Turkeys don't count. They wouldn't let me include my Geese.
