        i have thunk sue and am getting some ex-bats end feb/early march which was always what i intended but thought i should get a bit of experience with some healthy normal chickens first, and as i gor the hen house for christmas i couldnt leave it empty could i?

          What a gorgeous couple of gals they are. I love the blue one Sage, she's fab. But now I'm eyeing up my shoddy looking gaggle......Hmmmmm, I wonder if they'd notice if they woke up blue tomorrow.....I'm sure I've got some vegetable dye somewhere (cupboard doors opening). Just kidding - they are lovely though. Thermal socks are a good investment too.

            Parsley, Lavender, Basil (but that'd have to be a "he" wouldn't it), Coriander, Fennel

                    That's another good reason for electric poultry fencing! My dog used to catch Pheasants in his younger days, and bring me the bunch of tail-feathers. I always had visions of a Pheasant with a bare bum hiding in the hedge .
