Great idea Nicos I'm definitely in.....

Alice and Dawn both lay goose sized eggs that means they don't fit a box easily and have to be strategically placed so a lid can be closed. We have the veloceraptor layer and some that are almost white. Should make for interesting photos if nowt else

Sorry Lizziylemon - I have enough on my hand with his Lordship

Depends which type: Foot in mouth or actual physical? LOL. I'm good for physical, 'specially french soil.

Great idea by the way. 2 of my girls are laying now (a very pale egg weighing in at 75g and tan egg at 50g today) so I'll have a word with them to see what effort we can put forward, but nowhere near as eye watering big as your poor gal.

Oh, yes, I think the Egg Gallery sounds a great idea! Beats the local garden show for eggcitement (oh sorry, I know, couldn't resist).

Just back from the hen house and….
                              79g and 32g
Buff Orpington’s?? First time it has happened I hope it has nothing to do with the girls knowing I am looking at the forum!
Another answer is my next door neighbours have a couple of bantams but that is over 75 meters away and I have never seen them anywhere near my paddock?
The Orpington’s have just started to lay in the last few weeks but the variances in size have usually been larger 85g ish

                              Regards

My two Meadowsweet Ranges lay eggs that would either be medium or large if I bought them. But my Light Sussex hybrid lays really little eggs - they look just like Pat's photo. Will that change or do some chickens just lay little 'uns?
                                Cheers
