The Huuuuge egg was a double-yolker - I ate it this morning for breakfast, 'twas yummy!

Oh, and I watched one being laid this morning for the first time too! I opened the lid to check for eggs and one of the white ones was in there. She gave me a funny look then she just sort of half stood, stuck her tail-end toward me, and squeezed out an egg - I ate that one too!

Buff Orpington’s?? First time it has happened I hope it has nothing to do with the girls knowing I am looking at the forum!
Another answer is my next door neighbours have a couple of bantams but that is over 75 meters away and I have never seen them anywhere near my paddock?
The Orpington’s have just started to lay in the last few weeks but the variances in size have usually been larger 85g ish

My cross bred bantams and a visiting Full size Buff Orpington hen both started laying about the same time - their eggs were only distinguishable in that Dora (the B.O.) appears to lay eggs with no pointed end.....
