chicks free ranging in the garden today

    it was freezing lol, up to now they've been out in the polytunnel, which is a lot warmer, but since it flew across the garden they haven't had that luxury lol, they've mostly been running round the hallway and utility room and kitchen, but i'm sick of mopping up chicken poo and the smell of disinfectant after

      My girls always come running when they see me. But to put them to bed they see me with their evening chook pans and all hell breaks loose but.... when I go into Chookenham I always screech "BWARK, BWARK" and if there are any that haven't noticed me cause they are in the feed room or one of the stables then they literally arrive at brak neck speed and fling themselves into the stable generally landing head first into the middle of a pan - very funny to see

        i'll be glad when they've got used to the big outside world and do that they do come to me in the house, but the big world maybe a bit scary yet i think they did ok for their first 'proper' outing
