  • Daylight at last!

Have you noticed how the evenings are starting to draw out a bit now? It's nearly 5:20 and the girls are only just starting to put themselves to bed. It doesn't seem that long ago they were all in bed just after 4

YAY! summers on the way! WOn't be long and I'll be to go out in the garden after a day shift instead of starting in the dark and coming home in the dark!

earler on this evening, just as the daylight was starting to fade, the sky was shades of red and greys, have not seen it like that since last summer,we had a look from the upstairs window, what a grand sight, snow just starting melt away, some roof tops with bits of snow, and the bare trunks and branches of trees, was a grand sight,a bit later on,the sky became very dark,it was just as if someone was pulling night time over like pulling a lid on day time, until it was dark, nice but an eerie feel, wonder if the saying ,red sky at night,is on the cards,if only

Yes, I've noticed, and the mornings too. That means I'd better get my Pop-hole door thinggy made so I can use the automatic opener. I don't fancy getting up any earlier in the mornings lol!

It's also a bit lighter in the mornings, which means gettiing out of bed a bit earlier. Don't mind getting up early in the summer but when it's so cold I'm not so keen. The girls are always happy to get up whatever the weather.

Just got in before me Glutton! I keep meaning to invest in an automatic opener.

Sure have Maureen. I always notice it in February. It means there is just about enough light to get some seeds started. It's a shame it is so cold as I like to get seedlings outdoors as soon as possible - for part of the day at least. Makes them really short and sturdy. But far too cold this year. Looking forward to warmer days.

My husband's gran used to say that from the first Sunday in February you could eat your tea without the light on. (She did have her tea t 4.00 p.m. though!)

Bring on the clock change, i have to entice my girls out of my house and into their own at dusk, as they want to stay up! And bring on the warmer weather so i dont have to put the naked girls jackets on every day poor little things.

It's lovely and bright and sunny here today and you can even feel a little bit of heat in the sun. I've got my spring onions out on the windowsill for their first airing.
