The love of gardening is a seed once sown never dies ...
OK.......I'll bite! how many years is Ruby? And considering this is posted in the chook section can we assume it has to be chook related?

my mum and dad did 50 years last year, (she'd have got less time if she'd killed the miserable old git) ........ ermmmmm i mean 50 years how amazing and never a cross word or an argument *coff*
My parents managed 54 years. For their Golden anniversary we all found our way 'home' for the party (and that takes some doing from Orkney to Hayes!) and each found them something with gold in it. I got them a small flower vase, black glass with a bit of real gold leaf embedded in it. One of the neighbours who does cakes made them a wedding-type cake, but iced in yellow instead of white.....
What you get a husband for 40 years depends what he likes. Hobbies? Special eats? Or perhaps a signet ring, if he is likely to wear it.
PS, can anyone remember what 35 years is? next year.......
I know its been said before but it's 33 years for me (double life sentence!) and I can honestly say I never regretted the first fortnight!
Only joking btw........i've got a soft spot for wor lass! (a swamp in theGill wood)

How about a rose - there are loads with special names - There's a rose called Ruby Wedding. David Austin have it - and they are seling them bare rooted at the moment (up till April) so it wouldn't be so heavy on postage.
