Noodle, Nando, Nugget and......Lizzie (btw please don't forget that I'm a veggie..... but have a warped sense of humour )

Nugget gave me a scare this evening though, went out to close the door, checked inside...1,2.3....recount 1,2,3 *mad panic 1's missing!* frantic scramble around and there Nugget is behind a bush, made a nest in the sand and fast asleep! The little wench gave me quite a fright I tell ya!

Aaah they're lovely Steve. I've still got two with no wing feathers, a bit like one of yours, but the rest have feathered-up beautifully. Your others look really good, but I have to say the 'scraggy' ones do seem to recover well though, and never seem to feel the cold - amazing things, Chooks!

Noodle, the featherless one is by far the most adventurous and friendly one..... and she eats about as much as the other three put together!!!

She probably needs the extra protein to grow feathers. It's good you've got pictures, you won't recognise them in a few weeks. I keep looking back at my pictures from November, and they look like aliens now lol!

ok, his might be a daft question, but do they go anywhere near the climbing frames?? i was gonna put an ad on freecycle, cos i thought one might be fun in their run, something to climb on and run through, mind you they haven't been there long have they ??

I put a forked branch, about 3' long in the ground with a couple of long branches wedged in the V to make large perches for my 'Laydees' - they ignored it

The white ones already knew how to perch though, so the brown ones eventually got the message. Now, on a sunny day they fight for the space to sit and sunbathe

i was planning on having the slide going into the pond for the ducks

mine already perch, they started on a broom stick and have now moved up to a proper perch, so that's not gonna be a problem, and i have a load of old branches out the back to make stuff with, just thought the climbing frame would go nicely with their sand pit for a bit of colour
