My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
Chick counts up to seven now....five Light Sussex and two Salmon Faverolles!
I can see six balls of cotton wool in the fish tank (having a kip) and the latest hatchling is still in the inccy cos the others set about it if I don't let it dry in the inccy first!

They are coming thick and fast. I too was unprepared. I was expecting them Saturday. The first three came Thursday evening!!!!! It's amazing what you can build in an hour when the pressure is on.
I now have seven hatched, one half out and one (possibly two) pipped. All appear to be doing fine, up and walking (of sorts )
This is my first attempt and am very chuffed. They are much bigger than I expected, how did they fit in the egg. Must be chicken origami.
I will try and post piccies tomorrow, but I too am busy as it is our annual village litter pick and I'm organising it!

Here are a few pictures of the nine I have so far. The next job is to find out what breed they are....
I couldn't resist and had to sneak an extra photo of my other little one helping me in the garden this morning. He arrived nine months earlier than the chicks.
