Have you taught the chicks Aunty Mo speak yet? They are very very cute.....
We're getting there I can't quite get the high-pitched cheepcheepcheep yet though I do say bokbokbokchookbok to them so they know I'm their Mummy, ,and for the uneducated in chook, that means "Good morning my lovelies, how are you all doing today". And yes, I say that to my big girls as well

Those babies are so lovely. It's very tempting to order some eggs from the internet. I'm doing my best to keep my broody off the nest at the moment. It's just the thought of some being boys. It's not that easy to find homes for cockerels is it?
Yes, unfortunately it's the "dealing with the boys" bit that's not nice. My friend took a gorgeous Welsummer cockerel to the auction a couple of weeks ago and only got £2 for him. She might as well have had him for dinner at that price (which I bet is what the buyer did anyway). I'm hoping (probably in vain) that I'll be able to sell an unrelated trio later on in the year, but we'll see

These were taken yesterday when they started to explore their playroom. I'll be putting some video on Facebook (don't know how to put videos anywhere else!)

The babies are wonderful Don't they grow quick though?!! They've all got pretty wing feathers now and their tail feathers are just starting to poke through ........................... and some of them are less than a week old Little Hebe who hatched early hours of Sunday morning is (of course) still the smallest but oh boy she can certainly keep up with the slightly older ones.
Names so far (in case I forgot to say) are Rowan and Aspen (boys), Snowdrop, Petal and Hebe (girls). These are the only ones I can positively identify at the moment, the others will be named at the weekend
