We have just moved our 3 hens to where we keep our ponies (they have an acre to roam there with other chickens incl a rooster) My friend got two similar age chickens at the same time and they are sharing a nighttime coop with our 3. Problem is the black hen of ours is being really vicious and attacking the others - drawing blood when in the coop. Do i isolate her and let the others establish friendships then reintroduce her so she is the 'outcast'?

That may be the best way of doing it.

I'd give it a few more days as they often sort themselves out.

Its worked! They are all ambling around the yard whilst she sits in a pen watching - the cantankerous thing she is!
