Congratulations! I looked at ebay and there are some real bargains and some quite lovely coops. In the end a carpenter friend has made ours, though it's far larger than I intended so I'll have to organise far more chooks than I originally planned.
I wonder why that always seems to happen
My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there
Great to see you and your OH yesterday Lettucegrow and good luck with the preparation. We need pictures when they arrive
Thanks for letting me pick your brains and giving me all the hints and tips- much appreciated! Your girls are lovely- they were so funny coming up to see who was in their space!! There will definitely be pics as soon as they arrive.
Well, working on the assumption that a 3ftx3ft coop is big enough for around 6 hens, then a 6x6 one is twice the size and is big enough for 12, right? Wrong, it is of course 4 times the size. No wonder I failed O level maths twice before finally scraping a C.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
Well can someone explain the maths and how I originally only decided on 3-4 chooks and ended up with 33
