Wow that looks great! Won't show my partner as he is obsessed with metal stud - I can see him making a run extension for our expanding brood out of metal stud!

Today I'm making a perch for them. Last year we found a metal 'stand' - that's the only way I can describe it - which I used to support a fish box as a small raised bed. It occurred to me that if I could fasten a natural branch (from the little wood across the road) onto this I would have a stable but moveable perch. It's only a foot or so off the ground but hey, it's a mini adventure eh? I'll no doubt have a pic on my hen website showing it in the next day or two.

Grand-daughters (4 and 8 months) will be here in the afternoon to see if the chickens have ventured out of their house into the run. we were going to pick them up in the afternoon but even Mr Flum can't wait!

Sorry - welcome to the grapevine Blodwyn!

Hi Flum, wonder if you are so egg-cited that you won't sleep properly tonight! Look forward to seeing the new members of your family as soon as they'll pose nicely for the camera!
