This morning hubby had let the girls out in the garden as he was mowing etc, 2 of them started fighting over a worm, and claude the cockeral decided he would fly over the pond to see what was going on. Well he didnt quite make it and ended up in the pond! luckily its quite mild today so he has dried out but is still very angry and is marching round the garden swearing at hubby., just had to let some one know, it was so funny

I once had a turkey hen try to land on what she presumably thought were just some leaves. Unfortunately they were covering the 'pond' (actually an old bath sunk in the ground). It wasn't very deep, but she did get quite wet, and in spite of my efforts she was badly chilled, and turkeys do not recover well from chill......Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.Comment
