help, no eggs! anyone else experienced this??

hi all

carmen my speckledy went broody a few months back, it lasted a couple of weeks but she is completely back to normal now. only thing is she hasnt laid an egg since before she went broody, can it take a few months to get back on the lay?? she had trouble before with eggs breaking inside of her and got poorly a couple of times.

my other maran cuivre is still laying and has never stopped!!! should i be worried do you think? she is perfectly happy and nice deep pink comb. any thoughts would be appreciated.

A few months is quite a long time. I have a French Wheaton Maran who hasn't laid in months but I guess she is just taking her time. As long as she is eating and is bright and perky then it might be case of waiting.

How old is she?

age of speckledy is 10 months

she is around 10 months old.

Does she squat down when you touch her back? They don't do that if they off-lay but will start squatting again when she's laying. (Hope that makes sense - I know what I mean!!!!)
Could she be hiding the eggs somewhere?
