Went to collect three lovely clucky hens from Stagenhoe Farm this evening. They're in and settling beautifully. It wasn't easy being shown a barn full of hens to choose from and came away with different ones than I thought I'd get. I chose a Blue - they call them Bendish Blue, lovely soft blue/grey feathers, a Hertfordshire Honey which is a lovely brown/white, Rhode Island Hybrid and a Magpie which is a silver sussex hybrid . I managed to hold them all before putting them in and they seem quite docile but very spooked by the cat,who in turn is fed up as I'm keeping him untill they are ready for bed and have found the roosting spot. Pics tomorrow ,promise,( the battery died on the last shot so needs charging) Chooks at last!![Big Grin](https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/grapevine/core/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
