      Do you actually take notice when he says 'no', or do you just keep trying?
      I love the Cuckoo Marans. Not the prettiest breed (as adults) but they lay wonderful eggs, and those who know the difference CAN tell boys from girls at hatching!

      If you get baby-chooks now, they will be POL in Autumn, just when egg prices go up and the older chooks may be planning to take a break from laying.....
      Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

          i'd just get some anyway, but then i never was much good at obeying orders OH has given up saying no ... cos he knows that those little chicks will follow me home ..... can't think why he won't take me to the duck pond tho
