Mine is 2 ft high too - they get in and out (or will tomorrow) by a ladder. I was talking to them eyeball to eyeball on Sunday evening when my elderly neighbour, who's taking quite an interest in the project, said "You're not kissing them goodnight are you?" I said I was tucking them up and reading them a bedtime story! "Hmmm," he said, "you're definitely broody."

I wouldn't worry until she settles down for the night on a clutch of china eggs in that lovely secure run and starts making broody noises . . .

No Birdie - they are only 17 weeks old. I won't start looking for eggs till mid May - if one starts in early it'll be a bonus!

They are getting livelier today - I think tomorrow will be Chicken Out day here at Beak House!

They said they like dried meal worms butt why am I so man with them. They also said they don't like poo in their water and they have no idea who is doing it! Tomorrow they'll have a big bucket full not a small and frequently refilled (and cleaned out!) cat bowl!
