Hi peeps I wanted to give you an update on my little Wyandotte banty hen that got ill about 10 days ago; Well she is still with us, little purple hen [has a name now taken from her purple legband 
] I am pretty sure she had mycoplasmosis an infection of the sinus cavity in her head, she was really bad, at one point every time I wnet to check on her I expecd that she would be dead. Horrible nastt virus [I think] swollen head, especially around her eyes, pus foaming from her tearducts poor thing. I brought her in kept her warm, made sure she had water with a dropper, bathed her eyes with optrex as they kept sealing shut with the goo and tried to make her feel better with some bachs rescue remedy drops.
I put her out with the rest yesterday as she was giving such a fight & sqwaking when I had to tend her. She is now eating, drinking & pooing, fingers crossed that she will be on the way to the best of health and put on some weight as she is skin & bones. And a big hug and thanks to all you peeps for your lovely messages & support
