      ok we probably will go ahead with is if neighbor agrees when he get back from holiday
      ill probably go with bantams can yo keep bantams with silkies and i heard that silkies go broody alot and how do you get them out of broodyness?

        If you do a search for broody chickens, there's quite a few threads about how to deal with them. Basically if you don't want them to hatch any eggs, keep their bums cool for a few days

          Silkies will probably mix OK with bantams - they are smaller than other chicken breeds. I have a "broody cage" for my pekins - search this forum, and I think there's a link to a photo
