We got a chook house from a chap who sells hatching eggs on ebay today - he was well pleased coz he had got £48 quid for a half dozen eggs!Happy Gardening,

Where did you get the dorkings from Snadger? The guy we visited today had loads of eggs that he was going to post tomorrow - would be cool if your eggs were coming from the same place as our new chook house

ok i'm off to find some chocolate orpingtons and kidnap em ......at that price the cockerel can sleep in my bedroom and i'll sleep in the chook house .... and there was me trying to decide if £0.99 was too much for 6 eggs lol

I love the look of the Orps, they look so cute and so big too.
But there is no way on this earth I would pay that for 6 eggs, no matter what the hatch rate was!!!
That is just pure shocking, but I spose if your really into breeding your chooks, there's money to be made.
I gots to find me a big farm where the landlord don't mind me having chooks before i go any further with my babies. lolComment
