When one of mine opens it's gob........that's when it's ready for the pot!
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
one of mine started about 7 weeks and got progressively louder and more constant till he moved house at 15 weeks the second started about 9 weeks wth the occasional strangled duck impression....the 3rd crowed once about 10 weeks and once at 15 weeks .... but was pretty quiet .... the first 2 got incredibly annoying for the neighbours about 12 weeks.
Be a very small pot at 6 weeks >.< Hope mine dont start at that age.
Too right......I'll just have to put some acoustic tiles in the chook house until they are Sunday dinner size!

even when they start to crow it's not really crowing more like a strangled duck/goose for quite a few weeks and not very loud at all, certainly not louder than a chook laying eggs, took quite a bit longer for proper loud crowing.
