I know this, but............
My Dorking eggs are in the incubator, I like the idea of white eggs so I shall deffo be pleased if I hatch any females. The Dorking is reputed to be a good meat bird though, especially when crossed with others (something about hybrid vigour bla de bla de bla!)
What I need to know is.......when crossing for meat purposes, do I need to use the Dorking male or the Dorking female?
If it's the male, I need to prey for at least one cockerel in the hatch!
