  • My boy!

Just thought you might like to see how the little chick on my avatar has changed just a bit in 7 and a half weeks He's being a bad lad, flying to the top of the temporary run and surveying his territory - either that or he's getting out of the way of his sisters

Yes, I think he's going to stay with me with maybe one of his sisters. 3 are going to some of my grandchildren (staying in the family ) and the other 3 will be going to auction in June

No Nicos, not trying to crow or anything yet, in fact they all still "tweet", not a "chook" or a "bok" or a "doodle do" from anybody Hope they stay like that for a few more weeks too!

Well ....................... I've spoken to the neighbour most likely to complain and told them about the chicks and that "if" any happen to be boys and they start annoying them with the crowing then I'll have to think about getting rid of them. The neighbours were horrified about any going, said they loved to sit at breakfast listening to the girls telling me they've laid their egg Haven't said anything about the Bluebelle cockerel I'm getting though, I'll just say he's been rescued!

I'm thinking about moving them in with the big girls when I get back from holiday, about the middle of May, when they'll be 10 - 11 weeks. Then I can use the chicks coop to put all 3 Bluebelles in and hopefully nature will take its course. Well that's the plan so far anyway

Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
