Starting to get lots of eggs now!
Does anybody date mark their eggs? if so what with?
Thanks!

Hi, i use a pencil to date them, and when i put them out the front to sell, i make sure they are mixed in the boxes.
Oh and i read somewhere sure it was on here, that 8 days old is easiest for peeling!
I use a soft pencil too. Then I use my egg skelter so I always get them in the right order. I just use the dating method because I like to gloat at how fresh my eggs are!

Now you say about peeling just spent nearly an hour trying to peel 12 blinking eggs, and have some left for sarnies tomorrow.
I'm not going to date mark mine, but that's coz I have Marans and the pencil won't show.
You need a softer pencil then - like a 4B!
I'm with Aunty Flum, date in pencil, stacked on the 'EggSkelter' then the oldest get used or sold first. The oldest egg I've eaten at home since getting my girlies in November is about 3 days lol!

Ok thanks everyone, seems like pencil is the usual way! I must admit, we haven't got a glut yet as they aren't hanging around, but hope to have enough to sell before long!
