    Have you tried her with some grapes with a little poultry spice dusted on? Or tomato, or strawberries, anything that's a treat that poultry spice would stick to.

    Glutton4, I think you do need to add more nest boxes - it's recommended to have 1 box between 4 hens. Having said that, my lot had 4 between 13 of them and only ever used 2 They slept in the other 2 (3 in each all squashed up together, silly girls)
    My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there

      How is Myrtle? I hope she is better. I dont really have any advice, if it were me i would be taking her to the vet. I lost a hen in Feb, she was fine in the AM, stood puffed up at 3pm and had died by the following day. They can go downhill so quick. Maybe if she has infection the vet can give her some antibiotic.

        Hi, thankyou for your enquiries, and your help. Myrtle has perked up trmendously. Slowly but surely she's getting better and now looks just about her old self. We have no idea what it was but am glad she seems to be getting over it!
