    This is what we have gone for!!??!!

    This is the coop we have decided on/won on ebay. I hope it's ok.
    I have realised i dont think it has any perches, but I think that should be easy enough to install - I hope.

      1) put some animal-proof fastening on the lid to that nestbox (we've had one report on here of a fox getting in that way, so we all need to learn from other folk's problems, or what IS the point of it?))
      2) I wouldn't keep more than 3 in that space unless they were bantams
      3) in any case they would need plenty of 'free ranging' time as well.
      4) is there any kind of floor (mesh of some kind) to that run? If not, add one.
      4b) continue the mesh under the house, and all round the shallow under-house space, to keep rats out.
      5) once you have secured the house-and-run, you could leave the house pop-hole open ALL the time, so at least they can 'get up' when it suits them in the morning if you oversleep.
      Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
