I have 2 gals who went broody- and stopped laying- and I've managed to persuade them to go and play outdoors!!!
I read that it takes them about a week to start laying again- and tomorrow is the day......but I've been out to check a couple of times ( as you do...)...and YUP- one has started laying again!!!...I must be almost as excited as you pdblake!!!!!
...enjoy eating them- let us know what you do with them!!!!

After 3 weeks of collecting eggs I still find it a thrill. 4 a day now - the girls are on a roll! The only times we've had 3 have been when a double yolker was being brewed up!
However, they are such fun I would have them if they never laid another egg (but I hope they do!)
I don't think that joy of finding eggs ever goes, does it? It's just lovely to know that everything is working ok, the feeds ok and they are happy. Fast food from the back garden!!
Fast food.... Just went down to the coop and let my ladies out, and picked up one of the two eggs that were there... it's now in the pan of boiling water making my breakfast...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
4 again this morning and two were double yolkers! They went in the pan for breakfast. So it's not just one that's doing the doubles as I thought last week. I wonder if someone will have a day off tomorrow to have a rest? Time will tell.
