You big fibber!!!!! Go and wash your mouth out with soap and water right now! You do have room for 15 laying hens .......................... you just lose a bit more of your garden that's all and you'll just have to have lots of omelettes instead of roast chicken (though omelette with veggies and gravy doesn't seem quite right does it?)
My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there

Woohoo - another week to look forward to of shoving my phone in my pocket and sneaking off to the loo at work to have a peek in the Vine and see if they've hatched yet.

Last time round people noticed how long I was spending in there and someone asked me if I was feeling okay

Sorry to steal your thread and your thunder Lynda, but ................................. I did it too! It's all your fault! Anyway, I've just won 6 Black Minorca and 6 Black, Blue Jersey Giants. I like the look of the Vorwerk too, but there's not enough room in the little incubator I've had hidden away for the last month

I went for the Minorca cuz they look pretty and the Jersey Giants cuz they're a good dual purpose bird. Grow-my-own Christmas dinner this time? Hmmmm we'll see

You could always do like us...run no.one is now being given a little rest & we shall grow most of our brassicas in there...already netted from the winged rats!...so see them as ground preparers as opposed to ground users!
