The love of gardening is a seed once sown never dies ...
depends, you are supposed to be able to tell by a spot on their head, at a day or so old but i have bought eggs from 6 splash, blue copper, and black all living together so could be any colour ..... and black copper coming, hopefully as they are all the same breed just different colours it will be easy to tell by the spot, but after last time .... i have no idea lol so i want a girl of each breed probably so if theres any more girls i won't be keeping them, they will either get homes or be dinner (i've turned evil)

Hey Lynda the spot only works with the cuckoos, they bred in the sex link with something like the Sussex, which is why cuckoos often seem to have disappointing egg colour....
I have a plan to try and breed some true dark egg laying cuckoo marans but it maybe some time before I see any results...
