Mine get bread every day .....sometimes brown.......sometimes white. I feed it dry but they always have access to loads of water.
Found an egg lying in the middle of the run the other day......none of them had touched it!My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Ours also fairly regularly get brown bread....and even when an egg has been accidentally broken, which happened rather a lot when Marigold & then Dandelion were broody, they've never tried eating it/them.(Lucky I know)the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

I give them a little - home made, spoilt eh? but I soak it in water first. Read that somewhere, can't remember - perils of old age!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

If all they were being fed is bread then maybe they might start egg eating in desperation for some protein...? I do have problems stopping OH giving the muscovie ducks (his favorites) too much bread as they fill up on it and don't eat a balanced diet.. but maybe I'm too paranoid as they seem well enough apart from suffering the attentions of my Appleyard drakes...... randy toerags!

Mine get homemade brown bread on a regular basis. I often coat it in marg too....well No2 son bought some 'Can't Believe It's Not Butter', home from a camping trip, but unfortunately I can and I've got to get rid of the stuff somehow.Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
