I know I am quite new to this site so apologies if I am going over ground already trodden. But I was wondering if there was potential to start an egg swap or be able to sell eggs on here. I know the site isn't ebay but I would sooner get eggs from people who have helped me and feel like the sort of people who have a real passion for their chooks. Any thoughts?

The problem is, what happens if the eggs don't hatch/get broken/don't show etc etc.
Seed swap works 99% of the time, as they are pretty resilient during transport and usually the first class post suffices....the forum leaders [and being a Mod I know] would not want to try and sort out any issues/squabbles as a result.
The same reason we don't have a general swapping board.

No problems. I just thought it might have been good if some people had some breeds that where a bit different. I know with ebay you have to take your chance I'm quite happy to accept it. I can understand what your saying and there may not even be any take up. Thanks for the reply i'll leave it with you

BTW...if anyone local to Suffolk fancies homing a rather gorgeous, incredibly friendly little Legbar boy,we have two that we haven't yet got homes for....and they're far too friendly to eat!the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.
