No. I couldn't keep a hen in a little space like that. I know it's luxury beside what the battery hens have but if I couldn't give them a proper life free ranging most of the time then I wouldn't keep them. That's why I don't have any.

The hen and her brood look luvvvvvly, but it's a we bit small. I'd worry about the red kites we have hovering here with the chicks if they free ranged. Someone will have a nice big run for them, good luck and I'll ask about.Comment

yeah a bit too expensive, I got mine from hen house world similar idea for £140 plus £8 postage. 101N the model is, let out in the day and in the run when im at work, as they're still only 9 weeks oldComment

My husband has made all our own hen housing, and it does work out more costly than you think, if you are using decent timber and wire/weldmesh. And don't forget the time it takes to do it. He recently made a large broody ark and it took all weekend.Comment
