Got a Black Minorca this morning, it looks dry and fluffy so I presume it hatched somewhere around 2 or 3am. I hope I'm going to be able to tell the difference between them all, the BM is the same colouring as the JG First one is looking good and strong on its legs now and I think it's ready for a drink and maybe (just maybe) a few chick crumbs

How lovely Hopefully the size difference will tell you which is which before too long, if the colour difference is too vague? The JGs should be ahead of the BMs, at some point...

I think the Minorca chicks will feather up quicker they should mature considerably sooner than the JGs...

Ok, since you asked so nicely There's 3 of them now with another egg pipped

First one is the Jersey Giant, second is the Black Minorca and the last one is the first Vorwerk to hatch, you can see the pipped egg near it. I must say though that when the Vorwerk hatched (watched by 3 of my granddaughters) I thought it was the most ugly chick I'd ever seen Hope it improves once it's dried of and fluffed out

....I'd love some hatching chicks, but it's not going to happen.

                            They are so sweet!

Yes, they really are sweet Got another Vorwerk during the night, but they're definitely not as pretty as the others. Only a mother could love them

You should have seen the DD's barn owls as chicks....they were incredibly ugly. Inca has all of her feathers now, and is so beautiful, but Boogie is a little behind and is still half fluff half feather.

Keep the pics coming - chicks by proxy!
