one of my ex-batts who hasnt feathered up very well has a lump on her back at the base of her tail, its red and ive felt it and its quite hard, pic attached. She's looking a bit dejected and is keeping herself away from the rest of them, any ideas anybody please

Could be a blocked feather follicle (if there is such a thing, thinking about humans and creatures with hairs). I'd bathe it with warm salty water and put some Gentian Violet on it. If she seems no better after a day or two of that then a vet's opinion might be neededMy girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there

glad she's bounced back..... just like kids, they sure do bounce back quick oh and bicker like kids and are naughty like kids.... oh and listen to what you tell them to do about as much as kids...oh and I think I've made my point... oh andNever test the depth of the water with both feet
