    we've got a very low (more like a bush) plum tree which is laden with immature fruit.....this afternoon the girls were leaping up into it and picking the fruit which is obviously no where near ripe , will it do them any harm they were stealing it from on anothers beaks so it must be very desirable to chooks
    The love of gardening is a seed once sown never dies ...

    Not sure about plums but my lot have eaten the unripe raspberries and the leaves.

      Shouldn't do. If a chicken is eating it - they like it. You'll soon know if they don't like it because it will be slung everywhere all mashed up!

        Unripe will just mean bitter, it wouldn't harm them in any way.

          Mine have decided they like pale pink blackcurrants - in spite of them being behind some thick plastic netting! (The currants, not the chooks!)

            we have got the exact same thing had it for the last few years and had no probles just crazy to see 12 chickens huddled under a tree jumping up at it one at a time
